AI is the new search engine

  • Chelena Peart

You may have the most optimised LinkedIn profile, the most consistent content, the strongest expertise in your space and still be completely invisible to the tools that are now deciding who gets recommended.

The Big Idea

AI is the new search engine. When someone types "who is the best coach for [your thing]" into ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI, it does not show them everyone. It shows them specific names.

Yours is either on that list or it is not. And right now, most entrepreneurs have no idea which side they are on.

Here is what makes this urgent: LinkedIn is the second most cited domain in AI results. Not your website. Not your blog. Your LinkedIn. But…and this is the part most people are missing…AI has moved past just reading your profile. It is now looking at your content. Your posts. Your articles. Your long-form thinking. Profile citations have dropped significantly in the last three months while content citations have climbed.

If you are relying solely on a well-written headline and About section, you are relying on a shrinking advantage!

The opportunity here is massive and most of your competitors do not know about it yet. You do not need to go viral. You do not need thousands of followers. You need to be structured, specific, and consistent so that when AI goes looking for an expert in your space, it finds you and has something it can actually cite.

Your One Action Step This Week

Open an AI tool — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI mode — without signing in. Search "who is [your name]" and see what comes back. Then search your topic, the thing you help people with without using your name at all.  Those two results are your AI visibility receipt. Screenshot them. Sit with them. Because whatever came back is exactly what potential clients are seeing when they go looking for someone who does what you do.

 Go For The Win

If what came back made your heart sink a little…or nothing came back at all 🤦🏾‍♀️ I am running a free live clinic inside the LinkedIn Strategy Lab this Wednesday 7th, May 4pm.

In just 45 minutes, I will show you exactly why your profile is being overlooked by AI and give you two quick tweaks to boost your discoverability immediately. This is hands-on, not a passive webinar;  come ready to work.

The clinic is free. The room is inside the Lab. Join here and add it to your calendar so you do not miss it

Until next Sunday — this week's receipt might sting a little. But now you know where you stand.
